Keyword Research Services – Great Idea Or Non Starter?
If you aren’t a guru then you may (like me) find keyword research difficult. Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. The problem is though that most are next to useless, or at least seem to be.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. I mean, they wouldn’t be telling fibs about their data, would they? Well, it turns out the figures aren’t always right.
The results you see are not always correct, far from it. But it will have been spot on at some time. I discovered the answer almost by pure chance.
I homed in on a key phrase with roughly 5000 competing websites. I was feeling confident enough to rank well with this one. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. I could hardly believe that. Had there been some mistake? Turned out though that an awful lot of the extra competing pages had my articles on them!
What I’m saying is that I would have left it alone had I saw over 9000 competing sites. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. Not a bad situation to be in if you ask me.
Anyway, I decided to give a keyword research service a try as I couldn’t count on getting lucky every time. Hopefully I could get some golden keywords delivered to my inbox every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
I chose to give Travis Sago’s Instacash keyword research service a go. Travis being numero uno in the bum marketing world. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
It takes me an hour or two to come up with a couple of decent keywords. Getting them delivered is a huge help. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. Put that couples hours saved against the daily cost and it adds up to value.
All the big marketers bang on about outsourcing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m giving my keyword research to someone else to do. That’s outsourcing.
If you’re interested in how the trial of the Instacash service went then head on over to my web site. I said earlier about how I got loads of articles published for my chosen keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.
