How Are Backlinks Critical For Improving Search Engine Rankings In The Search Engines?
I can safely conclude that those of you who know about how search engines work and attaining the top positions will see eye to eye with me when I say that backlinks are so very important in getting that all important 1st page position. Even better if you can build them for free and with minimul effort!.
Some of you will be new so I will quickly explain that a backlink is in essence another link from another website that points to your website,they are also know as inbound links. So let’s say for example you wrote an article and put a link in the author resource box that points back to your website, that’s a backlink! Pretty simple huh? Or another example would be if your friend had a website and they put a link to your site then hey presto, you have got yourself another incoming link!
Most people would not have too many problems getting incoming linking but one thing you should bear in mind is that it’s best to get links from other sites that are relevant to your website. Lets say your site subject is about travelling the world, getting your links from other travelling sites will bring you better results, because search engines love meaningful content. So every incoming link that comes from a similar site is worth more than one that comes from just any old website. Relevant backlinks are king.
If you work hard at it you can achieve high rankings for most key words, evidently there are some key phrases with already too many websites competing for them but there are thousands that you can rank for. It seems to be a case of who can get the most backlinks, so if you want to beat another site, develop more backlinks then they have and on condition that your content is relevant to your desired key phrase the chances are your site will place higher in the search engine rankings.
Not much to it really is there? What you must remember is you must be regular, Google more than ever gets excited when it sees links appearing often to your site, it will make Google become very interested in your website and therefore will send more traffic to you. If you just build a few links and then pause Google may get sad and loose interest in your website and that must not happen!
It’s a real drag having to contact other webmasters to aquire links and it can also be a pain manually submitting articles to directory sites in order to build you backlinks, Hours I have spent doing this before, it’s not pleasant! The ideal solution is to have an automated system in place where we can do the work just once then get on with our lives whilst our links are being built for us right?.
